The Scandinavian with Iceland (ZSE)

19 days from Copenhagen to Reykjavik

2019 Tour Details

Stunning scenery, cultural treasures, exciting cities, and fun experiences await you on this Scandinavia tour through Denmark, Sweden, Norway, and Iceland. Your tour begins in Copenhagen, Denmark, and ends in Reykjavik, Iceland.

Guided sightseeing in the cities includes Copenhagen's Little Mermaid statue and Tivoli Gardens, the world's second-oldest amusement park; Stockholm's City Hall, where the annual Nobel Prize banquet is held; Lillehammer's Maihaugen Open-Air Museum, where you'll learn about life in Norway over the past 500 years through a re-created rural town; and Oslo's Frogner Park, with Gustav Vigeland's 200+ bronze and granite sculptures. You'll also visit Hans Christian Andersen's museum in Odense, the well-preserved wooden Borgund stave church, and more.

Enjoy some of Scandinavia's and Iceland’s spectacular scenery. You’ll drive through Sweden's scenic Värmland, home to 10,000 lakes dotting the forested landscape; cruise on spectacular Sognefjord, Norway's longest fjord, and Nærøyfjord, a UNESCO World Heritage Site; enjoy a ferry crossing from Denmark to Sweden; a scenic train ride from Bergen across the wild Hardangervidda mountain plateau; and fly from Oslo to Reykjavik.

Globus has also arranged some unique experiences for you. You’ll visit a Norwegian farm and meet the family that has owned it for eight generations. While you taste their apple cider, they’ll tell you about their history and how cider is made. Another highlight is a visit to King Gustav Vasa’s Gripsholm Castle. And you can try out local specialties at a restaurant in Arhus.

Then, fly to Reykjavik, Iceland’s capital, for a six-day tour to experience Iceland’s gems: watch whales in their natural habitat, and see the area where the most spectacular scenes of the James Bond movie Die Another Day were filmed, and much more! From the stunning scenery to the vibrant cities, this tour through Scandinavia and Iceland will delight all of your senses!
