Spectacular Spain (ZY)

9 days from Madrid to Madrid

2019 Tour Details

You’ll experience the best of Spain on this vacation that includes an overnight in Granada and 2-night stays in Madrid, Costa del Sol, and Seville. Spain is a country steeped in history, and on this Spain tour, you’ll have an opportunity to see some of its historical sights as well as its well-known museums and churches. One tour highlight is the Prado Museum in Madrid. One of the most prestigious art museums in the world, the Prado houses 8,000 pieces of Western painting!

Enjoy a guided walking tour of Toledo, a city that has been influenced by three cultures—Arabic, Jewish, and Christian—and see the architectural styles left behind by each. While in Toledo, visit the Church of Santo Tomé with one of El Greco’s most famous paintings. Also visit Granada, a city with more than 1,000 years of recorded history, and see the Alhambra Complex. The Alhambra was a palace, citadel, and fortress for the Nasrid sultans and their servants, elite soldiers, and high officials from the 13th to 14th centuries. In Seville, visit the Casa de Pilatos, with a splendid collection of Roman sculptures. Time on the Costa del Sol gives you a chance to relax, enjoy the sandy beaches, and browse the trendy boutiques.

On this Spain tour, Globus has also arranged some out-of-the-ordinary experiences for you. For example, Jerez is famous for its sherry wines, and you'll visit a sherry bodega for a tasting, along with tapas. Throughout your tour, you’ll be accompanied by an expert Tour Director and Local Guides who will bring each city to life with in-depth, firsthand knowledge of the cities' histories, sights, cultures, and secrets. They may even teach you a few words of Spanish! Between the sights, museums, scenery, and experts, it's a Spectacular Spain vacation.

"I love to share my knowledge and passion for Spain. The best it has to offer, with its truly amazing history and culture. Getting to know its passionate people who love their country and love life. Its contrasts and diversity never fail to surprise and delight our clients. Tour directing has enabled me to experience and discover amazing places but the most satisfying aspect is getting to know the people I have met along the years. I never stop learning and being surprised by our tour members, many of whom are an inspiration to me and their fellow travelers. So many new bonds are created amongst people from all over the world and all walks of life. It's so rewarding to see our clients having such great experiences that they will cherish forever as I guide and accompany them every step of the way through this wonderful country. "
