The Way We Use Information:

We use non-identifying and aggregate information to better design our Web site and to share with partners and advertisers. For example, we may tell a partner that X number of individuals visited a certain area on our Web site, or that Y number of men and Z number of women filled out our registration form, but we would not disclose anything that could be used to identify those individuals.

We use the information you provide about yourself when requesting a travel reservation to complete that request. We do not share this information with outside parties except to the extent necessary to complete that order. We use the information you provide about someone else when referring a friend only to provide the information you have requested. We do not share this information with outside parties except to the extent necessary to complete that request.

We use return e-mail addresses to answer the e-mail we receive. Such addresses are not used for any other purpose and are not shared with outside parties.

Finally, we never use or share the personally identifiable information provided to us online in ways unrelated to the ones described above without also providing you an opportunity to opt-out or otherwise prohibit such unrelated uses.

Children's Privacy

The Children's Online Privacy Protection Act ("COPPA") requires that we inform parents and legal guardians about how we collect, use, and disclose personal information from children under 13 years of age; and that we obtain the consent of parents and guardians in order for children under 13 years of age to use certain features of our Web site. This section explains how we do that for these children. When we use the term "parent", we also mean legal guardians.

As noted below, we employ cookies but we do not otherwise collect personal information from children when they view content on the Web site unless they register on our Web site, for example, in order to participate in a contest or in a special activity. The only information we collect from children during registration is a child's name, address, e-mail address, birth date, and home phone number, parent's name, parent's e-mail address, and phone number. We collect birth dates to validate the ages of children. We do not collect any other personally identifiable information from children during our registration process. All sites that are directed to children under 13 are prohibited by law from conditioning a child's participation in an online activity on the child's providing more personal information than is reasonably necessary.

When a child registers for a contest, we use the parent's e-mail address to notify, or confirm with, the parent of the child's registration request and to seek the parent's consent for the child to enter the contest. We do not share any information about a child with any third parties unless the disclosure is reasonably necessary or appropriate: for example, to comply with law, enforce our contest rules, or if the parent has consented to such sharing.

If a child wins a contest, we notify the parent at the parent's e-mail address, address, or phone number provided to us during the registration process. We may publish a winner's first name, first initial of last name, age, and entry, on our Web site and in promotional materials and other media.

Child and parents may request that any personal information we have collected be deleted from our records. If we have used contest materials (for example, photographs submitted as part of a contest) on our Website or in promotional materials, we will remove the photos from any further promotional materials. A parent may contact our customer service department to access, change, or delete the personal information that we have collected from his or her child by sending an e-mail to: consumervacation@globusfamily.com.

Our Commitment to Data Security:

To prevent unauthorized access, maintain data accuracy, and ensure the correct use of information, we have put in place appropriate physical, electronic, and managerial procedures to safeguard and secure the information we collect online. We use Secure Socket Layer (SSL) encryption on Web pages where transactions occur and to make a purchase online, you must use a SSL-enabled Web browser such as Internet Explorer, Firefox or Safari. Conducting this will protect your personal information while it is transmitted online.

This Web site uses pixels, or transparent GIF files, to help manage online advertising. The GIF files are provided by our advertising management partner and they enable the advertising partner to recognize a unique cookie on your Web browser, which in turn enables us to learn which advertisements bring users to our Web site. The cookie was placed by us, or by another advertiser who works with the advertising partner. With both cookies and Spotlight technology, the information that we collect and share is anonymous and not personally identifiable. It does not contain your name, address, telephone number, or email address.

We use your information to keep you informed of travel deals and vacation news and announcements. If you decide you do not want to receive this information, you can opt out at any time.
